Hello! Today the DD will be a two part DD, focusing on historic rivals who in our timeframe played much lesser roles in the politics of the era. 300 years ago, these two factions were amongst the most powerful and prestigious in the world as it was known. Now, in 270 BC, one struggles to even exist as a state and the other is having issues keeping up with the times. We present to you, Athens and Sparta!

Their pride never dwindled but their society, population and tactics did, and even though they had a late renaissance period where they came close to re-capturing their former glory, the Achaians, Antigonids and later on, the Romans proved to be too much for them.
