Massalia Thorakitai Reform
Who gets it: Massalia
Strategoi: Noble six hundred of Massalia, we present you the new armour we have bought for our troops: breastplates, Gallic chainmail and metal reinforced Linothorakes. Our proud merchants have acquired these items to equip our Thureophoroi as Thorakitai, but they need to be reimbursed. Therefore, we ask for a leiturgia: Your money for the defense of Massalia!
Assembly: <murmuring>
Strategoi: Think of your children, think our our beautiful city, think of our elegant ships. We can protect all of that for a mere talent a year!
Assembly: <murmuring>
Strategoi: And finally, think of the pesky, stinking Barbarians we will defeat with their own armour!!!
Assembly: LONG LIVE MASSALIA!!!
