Amnesty & Restructuring of the Machimoi
Who gets it: Ptolemaic Empire and Ptolemaic Rebels
Hail, pharaoh, glorious victor, you who have smitten rebels and foes, making them crawl and grovel on the scorched earth in well-deserved misery! Egyptian natives joined the ranks of our armies as brothers in arms, only to turn their pikes against us in a most horrible form of betrayal. Hard fighting subdued any kind of resistance that might have persisted among the treacherous natives, who would never dream of resisting their pharaoh’s command again in future. Those troops surviving the purge, receiving our most benign amnesty, have once more become available for recruitment to join our ranks with sword and mount. These Machimoi will be useful to police our kingdom and eradicate the final patches of native resistance, but can also bolster the ranks of our army on the field of battle against foreign invaders if need arises.
