Chairete, noble citizens! I come to you with a proposal. Light missile cavalry has become increasingly popular amongst the Greeks, especially those adopting the Tarantine style of combat. However, I offer you an alternative. Greek states across the civilised world have begun equipping some of their light cavalry with the Celtic thureos shield, instead. This affords them additional protection as they pepper their foes with javelins or charge lighter troops. I say we adopt this new kind of cavalry! The initial investment will be small, yet I have no doubt it will prove to be a boon to our forces.
