Who gets it: The House of Claudii, The House of Aemilii, The House of Cornelii and The Roman Senate

For generations, the Italian allies, the Socii, have fought and bled alongside us, sharing the victories, but also the many burdens of the Republic. Yet, they are denied the rights of Roman citizenship, are subjected to the authority of Roman magistrates and with the public land reforms of Rome, they see their lands being taken away to be occupied by Roman settlers.

Seeing their independence being taken by Rome and aspiring to be "partners in rule rather than subjects", the Italian peninsula has erupted into open rebellion. From the Samnites to the Marsi, our former allies have united in arms against us. They have established a new capital at Corfinium, renamed it Italica, and mobilized thousands of their people trained in the same tactics and weapons as us to wage war upon Rome.

The heartland of the Republic is now in danger. We must mobilize our forces immediately to crush this insurrection, or Rome will fall to the very people who once helped build it!
