Effects: +2 Unrest, +4 Law, +10 Bribe Resistance, +2 Judaean belief
A rabbi of the early Maccabean period, possibly a disciple of Antigonus of Sokho and member of the ascetic group known as the Hasidæans. He belonged to a priestly family. He was a decided adversary of Hellenism. Due to his effort to prevent Jews from settling beyond Palestine he declared all heathen countries "unclean"…not so fun if you are not jewish or not worship only Yahweh.
